Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include but not limited to the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.
Front of the House:
- Foster hospitality and goodwill among all members and guests.
- Serve as a positive role model and team leader for staff.
- Deliver a memorable and enjoyable golf experience for all members and guests.
- Aid with golf equipment and other requirements for members and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of all clubs.
- Ensure golf carts are clean, fully charged, and equipped with necessary amenities.
- Keep the range fully stocked and organised.
- Stay informed about club membership and golfing programs.
- Monitor inventory levels of scorecards, pencils, tees, and drinks.
- Ensure proper disposal of garbage and towels at the end of each day.
Starter:
- Review a prepared list of golf course rules.
- Inform members and guests of any unusual conditions on the course.
- Coordinate with other outside service staff to ensure all players tee off at their scheduled times.
- Submit completed tee sheet to golf reception.
Marshall:
- Monitor all play on the golf course, focusing on pace of play.
- Recommend potential solutions to customers regarding course issues, particularly pace of play.
- Report golf course play status to golf reception staff regularly.
- Repair ball marks and replace divots as necessary.
- Inspect water and ice stations, restocking supplies as required.
- Deliver messages to customers on the golf course.
- Assist other departments or areas as directed by the Golf Director / Golf Manager and Golf supervisor.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Golf Receptionist:
- Welcome guests and create a friendly atmosphere.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately.
- Manage reservations for tee times, lessons, events, and other club services.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, stock control, and paperwork organisation.
- Provide information about the club, its services, and amenities to guests.
- Process payments for services rendered.
- Address customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and sufficient supplies in the reception area.
- Schedule appointments for customers to meet with the Golf Director, Golf Manager, and other personnel.
- Take messages from callers and forward them to the Golf Director/Golf Manager.
- Assist with any other duties assigned by the Golf Director/Golf Manager.
