This is a role where you’ll see the impact of your work on the environment, and in the relationships you build along the way. Your mahi plays a direct part in how Contact manages and protects the natural resources our generation relies on, while supporting the communities we work alongside.
You’ll take ownership of ecological restoration and land management activities across multiple sites, working with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes that balance environmental, community, and operational needs. It’s a role that brings together practical delivery, long-term thinking, and strong, respectful engagement.
You’ll be trusted to:
- Plan and deliver ecological restoration work, including restoration plans and annual programmes, and see that work through from concept to execution.
- Work closely with landowners, mana whenua, councils, and contractors to build trusted relationships and enable successful on-the-ground outcomes.
- Ensure environmental obligations are understood and met, including consent compliance and offset delivery across sites.
- Contribute to land use planning and restoration priorities that support both current operations and future generation activity.
- Have the opportunity to support wider generation and development work, where environmental and land considerations are critical to how projects progress.
