Coreso is a dynamic and fast-paced company situated in the heart of the European headquarters in Brussels. We are currently seeking a senior data engineer to translate the business requirements into insights by building data pipelines and modelling the data to be able to use in reporting or for training machine learning models. You will also actively support the existing pipelines and adapt to the new tools when and if necessary.

• Data Engineering & Pipelines
  You design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Python, ensuring data quality, validation, deduplication, schema consistency, and robust time‑series processing for grid‑related datasets.

• Workflow Orchestration
  You develop and maintain automated workflows using Apache Airflow, guaranteeing reliable daily, weekly, and monthly data delivery for mission‑critical reporting.

• Data Modelling & Transformations
  You use dbt to build modular and testable transformations, write advanced SQL for modelling and analytics, and create optimized models for analytical and regulatory reporting workloads.

• Platform & Infrastructure
  You work with Docker to containerize data components, use Git for version control and collaboration, and contribute to CI/CD improvements for the data platform.

• Database & Storage Management
  You maintain and tune PostgreSQL databases, focusing on performance optimization, indexing, and partitioning.

• Collaboration & Support
  You work closely with business teams to translate needs into technical solutions, ensure timely delivery of operational and regulatory reports, and communicate constructive feedback.

• Documentation & Continuous Improvement
  You document data flows, models, and processes while staying up to date with modern data engineering practices, including automation, reliability, observability, and data governance.
