As a Senior Network Engineer one must be highly skilled technical expert responsible for implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex network environments. They act as a bridge between strategic oversight and hands-on execution.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Implementation and Management:
• Deploy and manage network infrastructure components (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
• Configure and optimize network services, including VPNs, QoS, and SD-WAN solutions.
• Implement network automation using tools like Ansible, Python, or Cisco DNA Center.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Handle escalated support tickets, diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.
• Perform in-depth packet analysis using tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds.
• Collaborate with L1/L2 teams to resolve issues and provide knowledge transfer.
• Optimization:
• Conduct performance and security optimization reviews for client network environments.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Cisco Secure Network Analytics, Zabbix, or PRTG.
• Documentation and Training:
• Create detailed technical documentation, network diagrams, and runbooks.
• Train L1/L2 teams on network best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement security controls, such as ACLs, IPS/IDS, and zero-trust policies.
• Support audits and compliance checks for client network environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in enterprise or MSP environments.
• Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIP, or equivalent certification (required).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Resolution time for support tickets (target: 95% within SLA).
• Number of successful network deployments or optimizations completed per quarter.
• Client feedback on technical delivery (target: ≥85% satisfaction).
• Contributions to team knowledge base (e.g., documentation, training sessions).
