About Company

A next-generation supply chain platform, the company is redefining how one of the world’s largest industries sources, distributes, and finances materials. Engineered to unlock the full potential of global trade, it harnesses agentic AI and workflow automation to provide seamless, high-efficiency access to premium materials at scale.

Since its commercial rollout, the platform has fueled exponential growth, optimizing procurement for thousands of businesses while setting new benchmarks for speed, transparency, and efficiency. Its competitive edge lies in full digitization and AI-driven supply chain management automation, eliminating inefficiencies and creating a direct, intelligent bridge between suppliers and buyers.

At its core is a proprietary AI-powered operating system that autonomously manages sourcing, sales, fulfillment, and fintech solutions within a unified order-to-pay infrastructure. By embedding financial services and logistics directly into its platform, it self-optimizes trade flows, reduces reliance on intermediaries, and accelerates transactions with minimal human intervention.

With a team of 75+ FTEs across Europe (Berlin HQ), China, and India, the company is rapidly scaling toward profitability, driving triple-digit million GMV, and setting new industry standards in autonomous, AI-powered supply chain orchestration.

We are looking for an exceptional In-House Legal Counsel to serve as a trusted advisor to our Sales and Operations leadership teams. In this role, you will not only safeguard the company’s legal interests, but also enable growth through pragmatic, business-driven legal solutions.

About the Role

We’re hiring an In-House Legal Counsel / Syndikusanwalt (m/f/d) to build, own, and scale the legal backbone of the business. You will work as a close partner to Sales, Procurement, Operations, and Leadership—enabling growth while protecting the company through sharp, fast, commercially relevant legal guidance.

This is not a back-office role. You’ll sit at the center of high-stakes transactions, cross-border supply chains, supplier negotiations, customer claims, and operational risk. You’ll design the legal frameworks, templates, and playbooks that allow the business to scale confidently across Germany and Europe.

As the Syndikusanwalt, you will hold the formal Syndikusrechtsanwalt designation under German law—ensuring full in-house counsel privileges and professional independence while deeply embedded in the business.

What You Will Do

1. Commercial & Contracting Excellence (≈70%)

  • Draft, negotiate, and close high-value commercial contracts across B2B sales, procurement, logistics, SaaS, and partnerships—balancing speed with risk protection.

  • Build scalable contract templates, playbooks, fallback rules, and negotiation guidelines that shorten deal cycles while keeping the business protected.

  • Advise Sales, Procurement, Growth, and Finance on legal implications of pricing, payment terms, supply structures, international expansion, and new business models.

  • Manage customer and supplier claims, disputes, and non-performance—hands-on, pragmatic, and always commercially grounded.

  • Translate legal risk into clear, actionable decision-making for the business.

2. People & Employment Law (≈20%)

  • Support the People Team on all aspects of German employment law, including hiring, contracts, terminations, warnings, restructurings, and compliance.

  • Draft and refine employment agreements, works agreements, and HR guidelines.

  • Advise on complex personnel matters with empathy, clarity, and legal precision.

3. Compliance, Governance & Risk (≈10%)

  • Monitor evolving EU/German regulatory frameworks affecting trade, logistics, payments, data, and digital operations.

  • Manage corporate governance matters for German entities and coordinate with external counsel where needed.

  • Build simple, scalable compliance processes aligned with the operational model and culture.

  • Promote a culture of proactive compliance, ethical conduct, and commercial discipline.

Who You Are

  • Volljurist/in with two Staatsexamina and eligible for registration as Syndikusrechtsanwalt.

  • 3+ years' PQE from a top-tier law firm or in-house team—ideally in tech, marketplaces, logistics, or fast-scaling B2B businesses.

  • Strong command of German contract law, commercial risk management, and employment law fundamentals.

  • Experience handling contract negotiations, claims, disputes, and operational legal challenges.

  • Business-fluent in German and English (English is the internal operating language).

  • Commercially sharp: you simplify the complex, protect the company without blocking momentum, and work with speed and ownership.

  • Thrives in an office-only, high-tempo environment with fast decisions and constant iteration.

What We Offer

  • Full ownership of the legal function at one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI-enabled operators.

  • A Syndikus role with strategic influence and direct access to the Founder/CEO and executive team.

  • High exposure to cross-border commercial work, operational risk, and complex deal-making.

  • Competitive compensation, performance bonus, and VSOP participation.

  • A chance to build the legal foundation of a company scaling across multiple countries and categories.

Why This Role

  • A role to fulfill with entrepreneurial freedom and a pre-validated business model to be pushed to the next level

  • An experienced founding team (three companies, 2 exits)

  • A future-proof job with an attractive salary in a successful and value-oriented company

  • Collaboration with top-tier investors and angels (incl. various unicorn founders) as well as leading market experts

  • A challenging yet rewarding work environment, and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a rapidly growing company

  • Beautiful office space in the center of Berlin, monthly all-hands, team events, and team lunches

Join one of the fastest-growing B2B companies in Europe in an industry that is starving for innovative solutions. Work with an international intercultural team led by serial entrepreneurs and seasoned executives, advised by some of the brightest minds in the industry.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
