Full-time Home Support Worker

The County of Grande Prairie is seeking a caring and compassionate individual with exceptional housekeeping and customer service skills. The candidate will provide housekeeping, companionship and in home support to individuals, seniors and families who are experiencing aging, physical, mental or emotional disruptions by providing in-home support. A passion for people and for cleaning, a willingness to learn, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role.

Job Duties and Tasks:

• Provide respite care for caregivers of children or special needs clients
• Drive clients to appointments
• Provide companionship to clients (spend time with client)
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
• Give emotional support to clients and others in a crisis situation (until further assistance can be acquired)
• Other related duties as assigned by the Home Support Coordinator
