Job Overview

Crown is searching for a Human Resources Manager to plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate policies, activities, and recruit for a rapidly growing, multi-state government contractor, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. 

This position will be based 5 days a week, at Crown’s headquarters office in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit talent, coordinate interviews with management and contract partners, and hire new staff, ensuring all clearances have been properly obtained. 
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management. 
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance with government contracting. 
  • Responsible for coordinating the company’s annual performance evaluations and pay increases. 
  • Manage annual benefit recompetes, and current benefits plans in place, including the company 401(k) plan. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. 
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs. 
  • Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development. 
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. 
  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance for a multi-state employer. 
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. 
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 
  • Help facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for employees.
