Job Overview

Customized Energy Solutions Foundation (CES Foundation) is the not-for-profit arm of Customized Energy Solutions (CES), committed to fostering sustainable and inclusive rural economic development through clean energy solutions.

Building on CES’s two decades of expertise in energy markets, storage, and policy — including the creation of the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) — the Foundation focuses on leveraging Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) to drive livelihood generation, entrepreneurship, and community resilience.

Under its flagship initiative CAREs (Customized Applications for Rural Economies), CES Foundation works with tribal and rural communities to integrate microgrids with productive end-use applications, enabling clean-powered enterprises in agriculture, food processing, and other rural sectors.

Guided by its 3I philosophy – Innovate, Integrate, Include, CES Foundation designs and implements technical, social, and financial solutions that ensure holistic development — fostering self-reliant, prosperous, and sustainable rural economies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding rural landscape of Mizoram and work with stakeholders for need assessment, deployment, and demonstration of livelihoods solutions.
  • Mapping, Development, and deployment of emerging technologies for enhancing rural economic development.
  • Exploring market linkages/channels for efficient delivery of goods and services related to agricultural goods, food processing, irrigation, textile and other livelihoods.
  • Work closely with the vendors / suppliers to develop mechanisms for post-installation operations, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Providing field-level coordination for the technology solution implementation of pilot projects designed under the various programs in Northeast.
  • Coordinating with training institutes, science departments and other govt. agencies in Mizoram to organize and facilitate technology training programs for end users, community members and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifying and developing success stories under the programs as case studies for wider dissemination of DRE (Decentralized Renewable Energy) driven technology in Northeast.
  • Planning and executing the training programmes and help them in capacity building for enhancing income generation for end users in Northeast.
  • Manage Local women entrepreneurs and help them in budling their capacity for enhancing their income generation.
  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will ensure tracking of project/ programme results at different levels (outputs, outcomes and impact)
  • Develop the M&E Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Incorporate programmatic/ operational team feedback to ensure the continuous improvement of data management systems.
  • Exploring financial inclusion with local bank and microfinance.
  • Lead the on-going development of an monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) system and tools to enable all program teams to be able to collect, aggregate and support analysis of data seamlessly, in order to meet all relevant reporting requirements.
