IT Strategy & Operations Analyst – Contract (6–9 Months)

We’re seeking an analytical, organized, and proactive IT Strategy & Operations Analyst for a 6–9 month contract. This role supports a technology organization that is modernizing its infrastructure, maturing operational processes, and building data-driven insights across multiple teams and regions.
This position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who has at least two years of experience in IT operations, systems support, analytics, or business/technology coordination and is eager to expand into IT strategy and process improvement. This position follows a hybrid schedule and requires a minimum of three in-office days per week at our Philadelphia location.
Key Responsibilities
Data, Metrics & Reporting
- Extract, clean, and analyze operational data from IT systems (tickets, uptime, licensing, asset inventory, renewal schedules, etc.).
- Build and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and KPI reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Identify trends, risks, and insights that help inform IT leadership decisions.
Vendor, Contract & Asset Management
- Organize and maintain vendor and contract documentation in structured, searchable formats.
- Track licensing, support agreements, renewals, asset records, and spend across key systems.
- Support audits, true-ups, and vendor review processes.
Process Documentation & Improvement
- Document workflows, standards, and service processes across infrastructure, cloud, and support teams.
- Identify operational gaps or inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Support creation of technology roadmaps and process maps.
Tools, Platforms & Research
- Evaluate software tools and platforms and prepare comparison summaries (features, cost, risks, integration requirements).
- Perform sandbox testing or light configuration under guidance from senior team members.
Operational Coordination
- Prepare meeting materials, capture decisions and action items, and ensure follow-through.
- Maintain shared documentation spaces, project trackers, and operational repositories.
