Purpose of the position
Position Overview
As part of our digital transformation, we use automation tools to partially pre-fill customs declarations based on structured data extracted from customer documentation (e.g., invoices, packing lists, client dossiers).
We are looking for a motivated Automation Operator to join our Tech Hub team in Poland.
This person will support the Italian operations by processing PDF documents through specialized tools and ensuring the extracted data is correctly aligned with customs declaration requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
• Process customs-related documentation (invoices, packing lists, client dossiers) using automation tools such as Docparser and Lobster.
• Analyze structured output to verify and extract key data elements necessary for customs declarations.
• Collaborate remotely with the Italian automation team to clarify unclear documents or specific client requests.
• Ensure consistency and correctness of the data transferred through the tools.
• Report issues related to document quality, missing information, or system processing anomalies.
• Maintain an organized workflow and report task progress using internal tracking systems.
Job Requirements::
• Basic understanding of the structure of a customs declaration (e.g., consignor/consignee, commodity codes, incoterms, country of origin).
• High level of computer literacy (especially handling PDFs, using web-based tools, and Windows environments).
• Ability to read and interpret commercial documents such as invoices and packing lists.
• Detail-oriented with strong sense of responsibility and data accuracy.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work with international teams and follow remote instructions.
Nice to have:
• Previous experience in customs, logistics, or international trade operations.
• Familiarity with tools like Docparser, Lobster, or similar data extraction platforms.
• Basic knowledge of customs software used in Italy (training will be provided).
• Knowledge of the Italian language to better understand documentation and operational context.
