About the Job: We are looking for a security focused Security Engineer to support our Managed Services portfolio with a specific focus on Microsoft Defender for Office 365. The role involves daytoday operational management, configuration oversight, policy governance, and proactive reporting to help our clients maintain a strong email and collaboration security posture. About the Job: We are looking for a security focused Security Engineer to support our Managed Services portfolio with a specific focus on Microsoft Defender for Office 365. The role involves daytoday operational management, configuration oversight, policy governance, and proactive reporting to help our clients maintain a strong email and collaboration security posture. The successful candidate will be customer obsessed, detail oriented, and driven by innovation and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage platform configuration, ensuring alignment with best practices and client requirements.
- Oversee and maintain data connectors for security and compliance workloads.
- Administer and continuously optimize O365 security policies, including threat protection, anti-phishing, anti-malware, and safe attachments.
- Develop, implement, and finetune email security policies to enhance client resilience against evolving threats.
- Conduct ongoing policy reviews and analysis to reduce false positives and improve detection efficacy.
- Collaborate with incident response teams to support investigations related to email based threats.
- Generate and deliver monthly security posture reports, highlighting trends, improvements, gaps, and actionable recommendations.
- Present insights and reports to internal stakeholders and clients as needed.
- Leverage knowledge of Defender for Cloud and Defender for Cloud Apps (MCAS) to support integrated security scenarios.
- Experience with additional Defender suite components (Identity, Endpoint) is preferred.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (required).
- Working knowledge of Defender for Cloud and Defender for Cloud Apps (highly preferred).
- Exposure to other Microsoft Defender workloads such as Defender for Identity and Defender for Endpoint.
- Solid understanding of email security, threat protection concepts, and M365 security operations.
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR tools (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel) is beneficial.
- Coding and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc.) preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
