Call Center Representative - Banking (Contract-to-hire)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (100% onsite)
Contract: 4-month contract-to-hire
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week)

Our banking client in Pittsburgh is hiring Primary Call Center Representatives to support high-volume inbound customer service operations. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable handling a high volume of customer interactions. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling general banking inquiries, account requests, and basic digital banking support while meeting strict call center performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls related to banking products and services

  • Identify customer needs and provide accurate resolutions or recommendations

  • Process requests such as disputes, refunds, stop payments, payoff quotes, and account updates

  • Support basic online and mobile banking troubleshooting (password resets, bill pay, etc.)

  • Promote relevant bank products and services when appropriate

  • Act as a liaison between customers and branch operations

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call center KPIs

  • Deliver professional, empathetic, and customer-focused service at all times

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of high-volume inbound call center experience (minimum 60+ calls per day)

  • Strong customer service and verbal communication skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Experience using softphone systems

  • Strong typing and multitasking skills

  • Permanent right to work in the US

Nice to have:

  • Banking or financial services experience

  • CRM, Workday, or relationship management systems

  • Softphone / Mitel experience

Work schedule
  • Training period (approx. 3 months):
    Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Post-training:
    Must be available between 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM, with rotating weekends (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
