About The Role:
We're looking for a Technical Lead who enjoys building software and contributing to engineering excellence. Working directly with our CTO and a small team, you'll help define architecture, introduce new technologies, and raise engineering standards across the company. This is a highly hands-on role where you'll split your time between writing code, reviewing architecture, and helping teams tackle complex technical challenges. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers across multiple product teams, influencing technology decisions that power millions of transactions worldwide.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Support the implementation of new technologies and engineering approaches across the company.
Contribute to product architecture discussions and the design of technical solutions.
Conduct architectural and technological reviews and propose improvements to product performance and quality.
Ensure compliance with company standards, regulations, and technology stack.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth system integration and interoperability.
Mentor developers and support the development of engineering capabilities.
Improve software development, testing, and delivery processes.
Contribute to R&D initiatives and the expansion of the company’s technology stack.
Participate in team activities such as demos, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:
7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
Strong hands-on development experience with C#/.NET and solid knowledge of Java.
Proven experience designing, building, and supporting microservices-based architectures in production environments.
Strong understanding of software architecture principles, system design, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
Experience leading technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and technology selection initiatives.
Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
Experience working with cloud-native applications and modern development practices.
Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.
Experience integrating complex systems through APIs, messaging systems, and distributed architectures.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth within development teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive technical improvements across multiple teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other high-availability transaction processing environments.
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Exposure to R&D initiatives, proof-of-concepts, and evaluating new technologies.
Experience driving engineering standards, governance, and technology strategy across multiple teams
