Job Title: Tax Manager
Job Location: Bucharest, Romania
Main Responsibilities:
The objective of the country Tax Manager is to manage all tax issues on country level, with reference to the company’s tax policies and guidance, process requirements, and work instructions, in order to ensure the tax compliance according to Romania law and regulations.
Supporting/handling the tax affairs of Huawei Romania
Handling all relevant tax calculations and tax filings (VAT, CIT, WHT, SAF-T, etc.) and ensure that all the tax obligations are met
Managing the cooperation with the company's external tax advisors and auditors
Assuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and other requirements which involves updating and optimizing internal procedures and manuals
Keep up to date with tax legislative changes and inform the team accordingly
Maintain the Transfer Pricing framework with the help of external tax advisors, including supporting with all documentation requirements based on local legislation as well as OECD guidelines, such as Local files etc.
Managing tax audits/inspections when they may arise, and manage tax risks in advance
Contract review (tax clauses) and solution advice provided to the business team
The tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time depending on tax law changes
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
At least 3 years of experience as tax advisor or in-house tax professional
Solid knowledge in VAT, CIT, WHT and tax compliance. International tax and transfer pricing knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as working language
Demonstrate strong commitment, perseverance and self-initiative
Highly structured mind, organized and able to plan
High flexibility and being able to manage multiple tasks, being target oriented and able to work under pressure
