Purchasing Operator (Spares)

Job Overview
Due to the expansion of our fleet we are seeking for a Spares Purchasing Operator.
You will be responsible for the purchasing operations of the assigned vessels.
As a part of your role, you will:
- Receive vessels’ requisitions
- Organize and coordinate purchasing
- Gather quotations from suppliers
- Place orders to suppliers
- Arrange forwarding if needed
- Verify completion of deliveries in vessels
- Processes invoices and submits for payments
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have
- Degree in shipping or engineering
- Experience in a similar purchasing position in a shipping company
- Solid experience with spare parts
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Familiarity with Danaos ERP will be considered as an asset
