About the role (your why)
The Office Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the reception desk and front-of-house office functions run efficiently and effectively in support of the wider Datacom business. Working in a constantly evolving environment, you must be exceedingly well-organised, flexible, and have previous experience working as a receptionist or administrator in a high demanding office or customer service environment.
Please note, this role is an on-site position, working and reporting to our Wellington CBD office.
What you’ll do
- Provide efficient and professional front of house reception and administrative support in a customer facing role at the reception desk, including welcoming guests or clients, directing incoming calls and managing visitor sign in.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Understand and provide tech support of Datacom’s internal meeting room tech including videoconferences and On Location Visitor management system.
- Provide Ad-hoc administration assistance and support as requested by the functional team and other business units.
- Coordinate and support onsite events and training sessions.
- Process financial transactions and support with system entries.
- Maintain office supplies and café amenities, including coffee machine care.
- First Aid and Fire Warden Duties.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a receptionist or administrator.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong administration and time management skills and ability to solve critical problems in a timely manner.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft suite of programs specifically Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members.
