Nutanix Senior Operations Engineer - Riyadh,KSA

Job Summary

The Nutanix&vMware Sr.Operation Engineer will manage and operate the customer’s Nutanix HCI and vMware Environment, ensuring performance, security, automation, and 24/7 operational continuity. The role covers HCI operations, patching, DR, security hardening, storage and network operations, and Nutanix Calm automation.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Monitor Nutanix and vMware platforms, optimize performance, and manage capacity.

·        Apply regular patches and upgrades; coordinate patch plans with Cybersecurity.

·        Manage backup and DR operations including RTO/RPO compliance and DR failover testing.

·        Enforce security controls (RBAC, MFA, encryption, vulnerability scanning, security patching).

·         Handle storage operations: performance tuning, tiering automation, and cluster replication.

·        Perform cluster lifecycle tasks (provisioning, scaling, workload balancing).

·        Manage virtual networking and ensure high availability across HCI networks.

·        Generate health, SLA, utilization, and forecasting reports.

·        Develop Calm automation (VM provisioning, scaling, backup workflows, orchestration).

·        Provide 24/7 incident and problem management with RCA and vendor escalation.

·        Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

·        7+years in IT infrastructure/datacenter/ HCI operations.

·        5+ years hands-on with Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV, Prism).

·        2 + years Nutanix Calm automation experience.

·        Experience in mission-critical environments and 24/7 operations.
