  • Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, utilizing ERP systems like Dynamics 365 to maintain up-to-date and compliant financial records.
  • Supplier & Payables Management: Manage accounts payable by processing a high volume of vendor invoices and reducing outstanding balances through proactive vendor communication and payment scheduling.
  • Inventory Accounting: Manage comprehensive inventory accounting, including preparing purchase entries and conducting monthly reconciliations of purchases.
  • Reconciliations: Prepare and reconcile supplier accounts for both trading and non-trading suppliers, ensuring timely processing of AP payments and reconciling multiple bank statements to monitor cash flow and resolve discrepancies.
  • Month-End Closing: Perform comprehensive month-end account closing activities and reconciliations, including preparing adjusting journal entries for accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with IFRS.
  • Audit Support: Substantiate financial transactions through thorough document auditing and collaborate effectively with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and detailed explanations for inquiries.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries for accruals and variances, and ensure all transactions posted to the GL comply with IFRS standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing account statements, including a monthly Trial Balance report.
  • Security & Controls: Maintain financial security by following internal controls and securing financial information through systematic filing of supporting documents.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain vendor/customer confidence and protect operations by keeping all financial information strictly confidential.
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by keeping up to date with existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Business Adaptability: Perform additional duties as assigned; tasks could be expanded based on business requirements to support the evolving needs of the finance department.
