As part of Destination Sport Group (“DSG”), Mike Burton create and deliver major brand, customer and revenue focused ticketing and travel programmes around the globe, working in direct partnership with organisations that include the British & Irish Lions and England Rugby. https://mikeburton.com/

We are looking for an Event Services Co-ordinator to join our team to assist with the planning and delivery of allocated projects across our event portfolio, including Rugby World Cup 2027 and The Open Golf Championship 2026.

 

Whether it’s a large‑scale celebration for thousands of fans across the globe or an intimate private dining experience, our events are designed to be unique, memorable and truly special. You’ll play a key role in planning a diverse range of indoor and outdoor projects in the UK and overseas, making this an exciting opportunity for any event professional!

No two days are the same in this exciting role but on a typical day you will:

 

  • Responsible for the detailed planning and delivery of allocated projects in line with sales specifications, allocated budgets and agreed timescales.

  • Produce event plans, proposals and running orders

  • Support the creation and review of event risk assessments and safety documentation, ensuring compliance with company standards and venue requirements

  • Assist with due diligence and contracting suppliers

  • You’ll be the primary point of contact for suppliers, such as venues, caterers, AV and production companies, so you may be attending meetings both in person and remotely

  • Review event staffing requirements and liaise with the event staffing team to allocate and fulfil roles

  • Develop and plan event communication including event teasers, entertainment announcements and final event invitations (digital and physical), liaising with internal departments

  • Onsite co-ordination, supervising setup, managing schedules and troubleshooting issue during the event

  • The big stuff! Have the opportunity to work onsite at events as well as attending meetings and site inspections in the UK, Europe and the rest of the World where required during weekdays, public holidays and weekends, as and when required

  • Process and reconcile post‑event invoicing, ensuring all budgets are current and accurate

  • Assist with post‑event reporting including gathering feedback, producing evaluation summaries, and recommending improvements

  • We value fresh thinking and continuous improvement, so part of your role will involve contributing ideas and helping to develop the next exciting enhancement to our events

  • Any other duties reasonably required
