Enterprise Architect for Professional Services (m/f/d)

Purpose

Enterprise Architect is responsible / accountable for development and optimization of IT architecture on Enterprise level: for this purpose this role caries out analysis and evaluation of customer and technical requirements; develops implementation concepts and holds accountability for implementation.

We are looking for a Enterprise Architect for Cloud Migration & Transformation team. You will define and drive Deutsche Telekom's cloud migration strategy, architecture standards, methodologies, and service offerings.
You will act as a technical leader across multiple customer engagements and internal initiatives, shaping migration frameworks, developing scalable service portfolios, defining architectural standards, and guiding strategic transformation programs. You will collaborate with engineering teams, product organizations, managed services, sales, and executive stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
Beyond customer projects, you will actively influence the evolution of the migration portfolio, automation capabilities, AI-driven delivery models, and cloud adoption best practices across the organization.

Among previous, this role identifies and evaluates innovations in technology fields and being actively involved with implementation within the Group and in the industry (standardization, open source communities, suppliers, interest groups, patents, etc.).

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Cloud Transformation Leadership
•    Define migration and modernization strategies for enterprise customers.
•    Act as lead architect for complex cloud transformation initiatives.
•    Drive architectural governance across migration programs and cloud platforms.
•    Provide technical leadership during critical customer engagements and strategic opportunities.
•    Serve as trusted advisor for cloud adoption, operating model transformation, and migration execution.
 

Migration Portfolio and Methodology
•    Define and evolve cloud migration service offerings and delivery packages.
•    Develop migration frameworks, standards, blueprints, and architectural patterns.
•    Establish migration methodologies, readiness assessments, quality gates, and best practices.
•    Create reusable approaches for infrastructure, database, application, and container migrations.
•    Ensure portfolio alignment with business objectives and market requirements.
 

Solution Architecture
•    Design target cloud architectures and landing zones.
•    Define migration paths, workload transformation approaches, and platform strategies.
•    Review and approve high-impact customer solutions.
•    Support architecture decisions across networking, security, operations, automation, and cloud-native services.
•    Drive architectural consistency across multiple delivery teams.
 

Automation and Innovation
•    Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks.
•    Promote DevSecOps and platform engineering practices.
•    Lead initiatives focused on AI-assisted migration assessment, design, documentation, and delivery automation.
•    Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and integrate them into service offerings where appropriate.
•    Continuously improve scalability, repeatability, and operational efficiency of migration services.
 

Customer Engagement and Business Development
•    Support strategic pre-sales engagements and solution workshops.
•    Participate in deal reviews, architecture boards, and executive customer discussions.
•    Review commercial assumptions and technical feasibility of migration programs.
•    Contribute to business cases, proposals, and transformation roadmaps.
•    Represent Telekom as a cloud transformation expert during customer and industry events.
 

Technical Leadership
•    Mentor architects, engineers, and technical consultants.
•    Establish architecture communities and knowledge-sharing practices.
•    Review design artifacts and provide technical guidance across teams.
•    Act as escalation point for complex technical challenges.
•    Influence long-term technology direction and architectural standards.

MANAGEMENT SCOPE

• Serve as point of escalation, review, and approval for architecture issues.
• Manage the conception, planning and implementation of the contractually agreed services results.
• Lead technical workshop with customer to gather parameters required for migration.
