Electronic Technician

Primary Responsibilities:
· Assemble and test electronic PCBs
· Assemble and test instruments (including wiring, mechanical assembly etc.)
· Assist in the design and development of new electronic systems, instruments, and technologies for geophysical
research
· Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with electronic systems and equipment
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities
· Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
Requirements
· Diploma or higher in electronics or a related field
· Experience as an Electronics Technician
· Experience with electronics assembly (hand soldering and reflow surface mount PCBA, as well as through-hole
assembly)
· Strong knowledge of electronic principles and troubleshooting techniques
· Proficiency with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
· Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· The ability and willingness to travel abroad to repair/troubleshoot equipment
