About The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Engineer to spearhead the design and delivery of our next-generation digital healthcare platform. What You'll Own
- Set the technical direction and define the architecture for a scalable, secure, and reliable healthcare platform.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Own key initiatives end-to-end, from technical design to implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization.
- Partner with engineering leadership, product and design leads to shape roadmaps, prioritise trade-offs, and balance innovation with stability.
- Guide best practices in engineering, testing, and DevOps, ensuring our stack evolves with the business.
- Establish coding standards and conduct reviews that raise the bar for quality and maintainability.
- Champion performance, security, and compliance, especially in the context of sensitive health data.
- Advocate for technical excellence, while keeping an eye on delivery timelines and business impact.
What You’ll Need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a Tech Lead/Staff role.
- Proven track record in leading technical projects and mentoring teams.
- Expertise in Typescript, Node.js, and React, with the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, scaling, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, compliance, and data privacy regulations.
- A strong bias towards testing and building with quality from the start.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in digital health, alternative medicine, or other highly regulated industries (preferred but not required).
