Job Overview

Diversified Botanics is a high-performance wellness company redefining what operational excellence looks like. We value speed, precision, and accountability—and we hire individuals who bring the same mindset to every shift. This is a culture for people who take pride in doing things well, at pace, and as part of a tight-knit team.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP

  • Develop and maintain reporting that summarizes and forecasts company performance in areas of revenue, expenses, and earnings

  • Serve as the lead for accounting operations, strengthening internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness in direct partnership with senior leadership

  • Coordinate with outsourced providers (AP, payroll, tax)

  • Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies across accounting systems and processes

  • Support financial planning and analysis by providing accurate historical data and forward-looking insights

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Take ownership for accuracy and pride in building financial truth that leadership and investors can trust

  • Operate with autonomy, managing your time and deliverables without close supervision

  • Stay calm under pressure and deliver consistent results in a high-performance culture

  • Communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders and provide financial clarity across the business

  • Constantly look for ways to improve systems, processes, and reporting integrity

You May Struggle Here If You

  • Need step-by-step direction or rely on others to define your priorities

  • Avoid accountability for errors or hesitate to take responsibility for outcomes

  • Prefer repetitive routines over evolving challenges and growing responsibilities

  • Wait for permission to solve problems instead of acting with urgency and ownership

What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting + corporate mix strongly preferred)

  • CPA license (or verifiable CPA-track) strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of owning close processes, reporting packages, and compliance deliverables

  • Ability to manage both execution and oversight, balancing detail orientation with functional leadership

  • Confidence navigating accounting systems (Acumatica or equivalent)

  • Alignment with our values: Integrity, Velocity, Evidence, Accountability, and Ownership

Minimum Qualifications

  • CPA license

  • Prior experience in growth-stage or pre-IPO company

  • Relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced, process-oriented environment

  • Ability to independently manage close cycles and reporting deliverables

  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving judgment

  • Familiarity with GAAP, SOPs, and accounting systems

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing junior staff or external vendors

  • History of implementing process improvements and system upgrades

What We Offer

  • Health & Insurance Benefits

    • 100% Company-Paid Premiums (Employees and Families)

    • Mental Wellness & Support

  • Lifestyle, Learning & Reimbursement Programs

    • Fitness reimbursement: up to $1,000/year

    • Tuition reimbursement: up to $5,250/year

    • Professional development: up to $5,000/year

  • Employee Perks

    • $150/month in Diversified Botanics product + 50% employee discount thereafter

    • Free meals, drinks, and celebration days

  • Compensation & Incentives

    • Base salary range: $115,000–$135,000 (depending on experience)

    • Discretionary quarterly bonus structure

    • 401(k) with 100% match on the first 2%, 50% match on the next 4%
