Diversified Botanics operates at the intersection of wellness and operational rigor. We build products and processes that hold up under scrutiny—not just speed. Our teams move with urgency, but never without evidence, accountability, and respect for the work. This is a place for people who take pride in precision, understand the cost of shortcuts, and show up ready to contribute to a team that runs tight by design.
Note to Recruitment Agencies
Diversified Botanics does not engage external recruiting agencies. All candidates must apply directly.
What You’ll Do
Own and execute sourcing strategies for packaging components (e.g., cartons, labels, printed materials) that deliver recurring, defensible cost savings while protecting supply continuity and quality.
Lead supplier negotiations across pricing, terms, lead times, MOQs, and capacity—using disciplined analysis, competitive tension, and tiered-pricing strategies to improve margins without introducing supply risk.
Manage RFPs, bid events, and supplier transitions for packaging categories; qualify alternate vendors, assess tooling and changeover implications, and sequence dual-sourcing decisions responsibly.
Develop and steward supplier relationships that produce long-term negotiated advantages, not one-time concessions—balancing leverage, accountability, and partnership.
Monitor packaging market dynamics, including paper, labor, freight, and capacity trends, and translate those inputs into data-backed sourcing decisions.
Drive measurable improvements in supplier performance, including on-time delivery, quality consistency, lead-time reliability, and cost adherence.
Evaluate financial and operational risk with clarity, including cash exposure, tooling investments, MOQ constraints, and working-capital impact.
Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure packaging supply supports production schedules, compliance requirements, and cost targets.
Maintain accurate purchasing inputs aligned with demand planning, production rhythms, and inventory discipline.
Represent the company with key suppliers and at relevant industry events to identify alternative materials, emerging suppliers, and structural cost opportunities.
Perform other procurement responsibilities that protect business continuity and support scalable growth.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
Approach procurement as a commercial discipline, not a transactional function.
Operate with preparation, structured thinking, and a bias for fact-based negotiation.
Balance firmness with credibility—building supplier trust without surrendering leverage.
Think in tradeoffs: cost vs. risk, speed vs. certainty, relationship vs. accountability.
Hold yourself—and suppliers—to high standards for cost, quality, and delivery.
Understand that leverage is created through analysis, sequencing, and follow-through.
You May Struggle Here If You
Prefer reactive buying over proactive category ownership.
Avoid difficult negotiations or rely on supplier explanations without validation.
Over-index on relationship comfort at the expense of performance.
Resist documentation, process rigor, or cross-functional alignment.
Struggle to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, or imperfect information.
What You Bring
Strong working knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier management—ideally within packaging, manufacturing, CPG, or dietary supplements.
Demonstrated success negotiating pricing, terms, and performance expectations while maintaining supply continuity.
Ability to analyze cost drivers, model financial impact, and assess risk with clarity.
Comfort managing supplier qualification, tooling decisions, and phased volume transitions.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel for analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Clear, professional communication and disciplined execution.
Ability to operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
Willingness to travel for supplier visits, audits, or industry events as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within an operationally complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience owning a defined spend category end-to-end.
Background in manufacturing, CPG, or regulated environments with tight quality and cost controls.
Exposure to packaging materials, printed components, or co-manufacturing supply chains.
