Job Overview

As our Senior Pre-Litigation Attorney, you'll lead the engine room of our firm's financial success. You'll oversee a team of demand writers and negotiators while personally handling our highest-value cases. This is both a leadership position and a hands-on role for an attorney who thrives in the art of pre-litigation persuasion.

 

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Oversee the Firm’s Demand Negotiations team.
  • Develop and implement firm-wide demand writing standards.
  • Conduct weekly case strategy sessions with Demands team.
  • Create training programs for junior demand professionals.
  • Handle high-value, high-exposure cases, prioritizing client advocacy.
  • Provide quality control of outgoing demands for strategic soundness.
  • Manage and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
  • Pioneer new demand tactics based on insurance carrier psychology.
  • Implement AI-assisted demand drafting tools where appropriate.
  • Oversee proper case management with accounting to ensure correct amounts are dispersed.
  • Conduct intake meetings with serious injury clients to assess their cases and provide legal advice.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and answer their questions.
  • Work closely with the litigation team to prepare cases to be transferred for trial in necessary.
  • Collaborate with other case managers and litigation team to develop case strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits of pre-litigation cases.
  • Collaborate with team regarding strength of cases, case strategy, and medical management to enhance case value and obtain policy limits settlements.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.

 **Role may include other relevant duties as assigned.

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Active and in good-standing CA State Bar License
  • 8+ years personal injury experience with 3+ years in demands/negotiations
  • Strong hunger to succeed and grow
  • Candidate must be driven, resilient, and persistent
  • Have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Consistent and effective communication skills
  • Organized and detailed-oriented
  • Ability to solve problems and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Excellent coaching and training skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a nice-to-have
  • Mastery of medical damage quantification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated mastery of both written and verbal communication, with the ability to draft precise legal documents and articulate complex concepts clearly
