Summary: Electronics Bench Technician is to diagnose & repair analog & digital PCB boards down to the component level.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot PCB circuit boards.
- Diagnose problems with the PCB circuit board.
- Repair PCB circuit boards.
- Complete in a legible manner the daily log sheets for each PCB board repaired.
- When an R&R is turned over to technicians it is to take priority over all other repairs as we have twenty-four hours to make the repairs, if parts are needed technician is to notify supervisor or leadsperson immediately.
- Process Return for Credit & Warranties as next control built, & complete paperwork as stated above.
- Responsible for filling out order sheet for bench components in a timely manner so bench does not run out of supplies.
- *Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong time management.
- Proficient use of a multimeter.
- Proficient ability to solder/desolder.
- Experience in Surface mount preferred.
Education & Experience:
- Circuitry certificate, Associate Degree, or Higher.
- At least 2 years’ experience of troubleshooting PCBs.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a workbench.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
