Shift and Schedule:
Day Shift, Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Summary: Responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of manufacturing logistics, including overseeing the Manufacturing Logistics Technician. Ensures the efficiency and accuracy of material movements, inventory, shipping and receiving processes. Coordinates with Machine Shop, Quad & Fab Shop on daily needs, while enforcing safety standards.
Supervisory Duties:
- Oversee daily schedules and workload balance for logistics techs.
- Ensure daily manufacturing shipping and receiving tasks are completed.
- Audit Manufacturing Inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Provides training and guidance for new hires.
- Assists the manager in performance evaluations.
- Works closely with Manufacturing Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure Material and Part staging procedures are supporting manufacturing
- Assists the Manager in organizing and controlling inventory.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and physical counts and process adjustments as applicable.
- Investigate significant discrepancies.
- Identify root cause of discrepancies and report findings.
- Ensures procedures are followed for shipping & receiving
- Supervise Techs in material staging, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving tasks.
- Ensure safe operation of industrial equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Monitor the stocking of shelves and rotation of WIP.
- Assist in continuous development and improvement of manufacturing logistics. Regulate scheduling and shift rotations of Techs to ensure evenly distributed workload across manufacturing departments
- Support Manufacturing Shipping & Receiving and maintain proficiency in all critical warehouse tasks
- Other Duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 3+ years of warehouse/manufacturing/logistics supervisory experience
- Computer skills
- Functional in Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented, self-motivated
- Communication skills
- Inventory management
- Good judgment
- Forklift experience
- Inventory experience
- Pallet jack experience
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer.
Ability to stand all day
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
