About the role
We are seeking a Regional Sales Director with a strong background in banking and financial services technology sales to drive new business growth across the Texas region. This role is focused on new logo acquisition, strategic account penetration, and selling complex software services and solutions to enterprise financial institutions.This is a senior, hunter-led role suited to candidates who excel at opening new markets, building executive relationships, and closing high-value, multi-year deals.

What you will do

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new enterprise clients within banking and financial services

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline through targeted outreach, cold prospecting, and strategic networking

  • Develop account penetration strategies for priority financial institutions across the region

  • Engage C-level and senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and transformation needs

  • Partner with internal technical and delivery teams to design tailored software and services solutions

  • Position offerings across digital transformation, fintech platforms, and emerging technologies

  • Own the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and closure

  • Consistently meet and exceed aggressive revenue targets through disciplined pipeline management

  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to delivery post-close

  • Work closely with marketing on regional campaigns and sales enablement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting using CRM tools

  • Share market intelligence, competitive insights, and client feedback with leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in technology sales and business development

  • Minimum 5 years of recent experience selling into banking and financial services / fintech

  • Proven track record in new logo acquisition (hunter profile)

  • Experience carrying and closing against enterprise-level revenue quotas

  • Strong familiarity with the Texas market and territory

  • Background with mid-to-large organizations

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills

  • Demonstrated job stability and career progression

  • Willingness to travel within the region
