Position Summary:

As a Software Engineering Manager for the EarnIn payroll team, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of our new EarnIn payroll applications. Come make a difference with us and have fun doing it!

 

This position will be ideally hybrid from our Bangkok office as part of our expanding site location. What You'll Do:

  • Work with the leadership across EarnIn to deliver our mission: build a financial system that works for everyday people
  • Be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features
  • Create a roadmap and drive its implementation with your team and across the company
  • Dig into the code when required! You should be technical enough to help your team with issues requiring senior guidance
  • Recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for other teams
  • Be a mentor and coach for the engineers in your team, and help them advance their careers by enabling them to do the best work of their lives
  • Provide technical leadership to developers in your team and the engineering organization
  • Manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Support the team in maintaining a robust level of stability while continuing to execute at great speeds
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives at EarnIn

 

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of software development experience, with strong expertise in modern frontend technologies—React.js preferred—and 2+ years in a management role leading engineering teams.
  • Experience managing a team of 4+ frontend engineers, consistently delivering high-quality, user-facing features built on top of critical product and platform infrastructure.
  • You are a creative, tenacious problem solver with a get-it-done attitude
  • You can work comfortably with a cross-functional team made up of PMs, Analysts, and both mobile and back-end-focused engineers
  • You tend to be the standard bearer who takes a great deal of pride in your work and can inspire others to rise to the occasion
  • You can create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment in which everyone is supported, encouraged, and are meaningfully challenged to do great work
  • A software engineer who moved into management because you’re great with people, passionate about mentoring engineers, and excited to elevate the impact of a frontend team through coaching, process, and technical leadership.
  • You are ready to roll up your sleeves and get to work on technical challenges
