Job Overview

The Bakery Assistant Manager is overseeing the production of bread products for an Eataly location, including but not limited to: breads, pizza alla pala, rolls, focaccia and seasonal items. They assists with managing the bakery team in a 24-hour operating bakery.  

  • Prepares bread products for restaurant and retail operations in accordance with Eataly’s authentic Italian recipes and quality standards
  • Assists with leading, directing, training and developing bakery team members, following prescribed training programs
  • Maintains and nurtures natural yeast, local and organic flour, and naturally leavened products
  • Orders ingredients and supplies for the bakery and its related areas
  • Communicates with management outside of the bakery in the absence of Managenment
  • Collaborates with Managenment to oversee Front of House retail and Quick Service bakery operations
  • Completes administrative duties when required, including: ordering, scheduling, assessing financial information, budget monitoring and inventory
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
  • Documents, investigates, elevates and resolves all employee and guest incidents
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
