  • Primary care settings
  • School-based health centers
  • Health plans
  • State, tribal, and federal agencies

The ideal candidate brings experience in suicide care across diverse healthcare and/or behavioral health environments and has clinical experience within organizations implementing system-wide change initiatives.

In addition to client-facing work, this individual will contribute to the review and enhancement of the Zero Suicide Toolkit and support the development of new tools and resources across healthcare, education, and community suicide prevention settings. The Project Associate II will join a growing, collaborative team with diverse areas of expertise and a shared commitment to high-quality service delivery.

Based on experience and qualifications, there may be an opportunity to become an AMSR (Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk) trainer.

You will:

  • Lead projects and/or manage components of larger, complex initiatives
  • Develop and deliver presentations, trainings, and workshops on suicide prevention, intervention, postvention, and related behavioral health topics
  • Plan and facilitate multi-day convenings, including events for senior healthcare executives and other senior-level participants
  • Lead both in-person and virtual learning experiences using adult learning principles and web-based instructional best practices
  • Develop written materials and communications (e.g., reports, blogs, media content) aligned with current research and evidence-based practices
  • Partner closely with clients to design agendas, identify speakers, and ensure events and deliverables meet participant needs
  • Manage complex contracts, including timelines, deliverables, budgets, and coordination of internal staff and external consultants
  • Contribute to curriculum development for settings where comprehensive suicide care applies, including outpatient and inpatient care, hospital systems, education and youth-serving systems, primary care, states, and payers
  • Maintain awareness of emerging research, evolving trends, and best practices in suicide prevention, crisis care, and mental health promotion
  • Lead or co-lead business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, engaging prospective clients, and developing estimates for fee-for-service projects
