What are we looking for?

We are seeking for an experienced and talented Regulatory Officer. This role involves ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards within the agricultural sector.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will join the Research and development team. The objective of this role is to advise on regulatory matters, compliance management, regulatory reporting, risk management and sharing industry knowledge.

The key responsibilities:

• Generation of GHS documents for Act 36 regulatory registration dossiers for both fertilizers and agric remedies, including acquiring all relevant documentation to execute agrichemical product registrations in SA and abroad.

• To maintain all records pertaining to regulatory work, filing and document management.

• Assist with export registration dossiers.

• Liaise with regulatory Departments and industry bodies (RSA & abroad) and attend relevant meetings.

• Keep abreast of international agrichemical regulatory developments.

• Assist with general office management.

• Comply with all Rolfes Agri Integrated Management Systems (RAIMS) systems, policies and procedures including but not limited to all Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality (SHERQ) related matters.

• Ensure that all and any safety incidents, near misses and any other abnormal observations and/or events are immediately reported.

• Participate in various company meetings and report to management on performance and KPIs.

• Any other reasonable instructions or tasks allocated by the Regulatory Manager, Commercial Director and/or any other senior manager.

If you possess…

Must-Have:

• Grade 12 (Matric).

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture.

• Crop Life / BASOS certificate.

• At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Knowledge & understanding of the GHS

• Basic knowledge of Act 36, and guidelines.

• Good understanding of biological research.

• Ability to do repetitive work for long periods, consistency, and attention to details.
