Dam Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Dam Design Specialist to join our engineering team and contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of dam infrastructure projects. This assignment will run for a duration of 17 months beginning in 2026, offering a unique opportunity to deliver impactful results within a defined timeline. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of dam structures across diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for various dam types (e.g., earthfill, concrete, arch)
• Perform structural and stability analyses using advanced engineering software
• Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies throughout project phases
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations
• Conduct inspections of existing dams and recommend maintenance or upgrades
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, including flood and seismic hazards
• Contribute to the development of emergency action plans and dam safety programs
• Integrate sustainable and innovative practices into dam design and operations
• Support construction activities through technical oversight and review of materials and methods
