The IT Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and supervising the implementation of ICT infrastructure and systems throughout the project. The role will cover design review, technical coordination, site supervision, quality assurance, and compliance with project requirements, standards, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design and optimization of ICT infrastructure solutions.
• Review high-level ICT architectural designs, supporting data center modernization and ensuring the scalability, security, resilience, and efficiency of ICT environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate stakeholders’ requirements into robust and practical technical solutions aligned with industry standards and organizational objectives.
• Support the implementation and integration of network, data center, and ICT infrastructure systems.
• Review technical submissions, designs, and proposed solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements, international codes and standards, and best practices.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, and method statements.
• Review ICT architectural and infrastructure solutions to ensure scalability, security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of ICT systems and infrastructure at site.
• Monitor site activities to ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify non-conformances, deficiencies, and coordination issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Coordinate with the Contractor, Designer, Client, and other disciplines to resolve technical and interface issues related to ICT systems.
• Review and comment on material submittals, technical data sheets, samples, and equipment proposals.
• Monitor the quality and progress of ICT works and report on site progress, technical issues, and required corrective actions.
• Verify that installed ICT systems comply with the approved design, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate ICT requirements with architectural, MEP, security, civil, and other relevant disciplines.
• Review and witness testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing as required.
• Review as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, and other handover deliverables.
• Support the identification and management of ICT risks, interfaces, and technical constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical input on network infrastructure, data centers, communications systems, and associated ICT facilities, as applicable to the project.
• Ensure that site activities comply with applicable HSE, quality, security, and project procedures.
• Prepare and contribute to technical reports, inspection records, progress reports, and project correspondence.
• Define ICT architecture principles, and governance, while ensuring compliance with industry standards, cybersecurity requirements, and client governance frameworks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Define the architecture and resilience strategy for Tier III/Tier IV Data Centers (in accordance with Uptime Institute standards, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, and cybersecurity frameworks), cloud infrastructure, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure seamless integration between ICT infrastructure and airport operational systems.
• The role provides technical leadership in developing scalable, resilient, secure, and future-ready ICT infrastructure that supports operations, Special Airport Systems (SAS), Operational Readiness (ORAT) and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure that cyber security, data protection and regulatory compliance are embedded into the design.
• Own technical risk identification, mitigation and escalation.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships with airport executives, IT operational stakeholders, regulators and technology partners.
