Inspector (Architectural)

The Architectural Inspector is responsible for conducting day-to-day site inspections and quality control for all architectural, finishing, and building envelope works across the project facilities. This role ensures that interior/exterior architectural executions, finishing materials, fixtures, and spatial layouts strictly comply with approved design drawings, mock-ups, project specifications, and quality standards.
This role works closely with the site engineering team and technical team, contractor teams, and project QA/QC and HSE personnel to maintain high standards of architectural workmanship and material compliance on-site.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily routine site inspections for ongoing architectural works, internal and external.
• Verify that all architectural materials delivered to the site match approved Material Approval Requests (MARs), sample boards, and project specifications.
• Inspect work against approved mock-ups, shop drawings, and finish schedules to ensure high standards of craftsmanship and finish quality.
• Log architectural non-conformances, issue internal snag lists, and perform re-inspections to ensure closed-out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and punch-list items are properly rectified.
• Review and coordinate with the technical team for contractor technical submittals, material samples, shop drawings, and Requests for Inspection (RFIs) related to architectural packages.
• Verify that builder's works, MEP penetrations, and access panels are neatly integrated into architectural surfaces without compromising aesthetics or functional integrity.
• Coordinate on-site with civil, structural, and MEP inspectors to ensure proper sequencing of architectural works.
• Ensure architectural details comply with accessibility standards, fire-rated assembly requirements, and room function specifications across all facilities (administrative, security, and operational spaces).
• Monitor contractor daily progress and architectural activities and fit-out trades.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection logs and inspection request (WIR/IR) records.
• Assist the Senior Site Supervision Engineer in preparing data for weekly and monthly progress reports regarding architectural milestones.
• Collaborate with the HSE Team during site walks to ensure safe working environments for finishing trades, particularly regarding scaffolding setups, elevated work platforms, dust control, and paint/chemical storage safety.
