Lab supply chain Officer

Laboratory clinical interface

• Support the Ministry of Public health at regional, district and facility laboratory structures towards provision of quality integrated HIV testing, care and treatment services,

• Establish and support expansion and access to key HIV diagnostic and monitoring laboratory services including HIV RTKs, Early Infant Diagnosis, CD4 and viral load monitoring, TB microscopy and GeneXpert testing, and various lab tests for patients with advanced HIV disease,

• In liaison with the Lab partner, ensure that all sites supported by EGPAF, and their various testers are enrolled into Proficiency Testing and a certification program for the various tests provided,

• Provide day to day contact and support to the national and regional reference laboratory as well as facility-based laboratory technicians to ensure quality of lab tests performed and reduce turnaround time for various lab tests done,

• Support the Regional, district and facilities to design and implement an effective, efficient and secure sample transportation system and referral network,

• Provide technical assistance and capacity building to establish, strengthen and expand various laboratory networks,

• Provide oversight to ensure that access to laboratory services is improved and maintained,

• Participate in relevant lab technical working groups and relevant stakeholder meetings.

Supply chain clinical interface

• In liaison with the supply chain partner, ensure that the teams at facility level receive proper training and programmatic tools to successfully manage stocks,

• In liaison with the M&E team, provide technical assistance to EGPAF supported sites to ensure proper monitoring and forecasting of stock for relevant commodities for HIV testing, care and treatment services,

• Attend supply chain related meeting and TWGs at national, regional and district levels,

• In liaison with the procurement team, ensure that work materials and commodities procured for sites reach sites in a timely manner and are properly handled and documented
