The Role
Service Planner is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring service activities to ensure efficient execution of maintenance, inspection, and operational support services. This role plays a key part in optimizing resource allocation, maintaining service quality, and supporting safe, compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise service schedules for equipment maintenance, inspection, and operational support activities.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and priorities.
- Ensure all planned work adheres to company procedures, client requirements, and industry safety standards
- Resource & Logistics Management
- Allocate resources
- Track asset availability and verify readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of utilisation and equipment scheduling.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain reports & service records
- Maintain compliance with QA/QC standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Operational Support
- Support site teams with planning adjustments, change requests, and technical queries.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as schedule adherence, resource utilisation, job turnaround times, and service delivery performance.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in planning software (e.g., SAP, CMMS, Oracle, Maximo, or company-specific systems).
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, work scopes, and drawings.
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments.
Preferred Skills:
- 2–5 years’ experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination roles—preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, on heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with maintenance planning, service execution
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas safety standards and regulatory requirements
