Role Purpose
Entain is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager – Retail & Property to play a pivotal role within our global procurement organisation. This is a high‑impact, strategic position with end‑to‑end accountability for shaping and delivering the commercial strategy across Retail and Property spend, including Property, Facilities Management, Utilities and Shop Services.
Managing over £140m of annual spend, you will balance cost optimisation, risk management, service performance and long‑term strategic alignment. Acting as a commercial leader to the Retail community, you will ensure that third‑party partnerships and procurement strategies directly enable business growth, operational excellence and capital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Retail & Property stakeholders to translate business strategy into clear, aligned category roadmaps
- Develop and execute medium‑ and long‑term category strategies that create competitive advantage and drive supplier competition
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and complex RFx processes, ensuring appropriate governance, scale and risk management
- Identify and deliver step‑change value across cost, specification, service models and revenue enhancement
- Provide strong commercial leadership across all Retail & Property expenditure
- Drive supplier performance through robust supplier management frameworks and senior‑level engagement
- Deliver measurable financial impact, with ownership of P&L reporting including CAPEX, OPEX, depreciation and cash‑flow implications
- Optimise buying channels and procurement processes to increase spend under management and improve contract compliance
- Identify synergies, standardisation opportunities and best practice across the organisation
- Champion team values and set clear behavioural and performance standards within the function
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Establishing and continuously evolving Retail & Property commercial strategies, identifying short‑, medium‑ and long‑term sources of value
- Acting as a trusted commercial advisor to Retail leadership, influencing key operational and investment decisions
- Driving innovation through market insights, supplier collaboration and adoption of relevant industry technologies
- Building strong internal and external networks to enhance capability, market intelligence and strategic leverage
Specialist Skills and Experience Required:
- Exceptional commercial experience (including strategy creation, implementation and benefit delivery)
- Building of Retail & Property strategies
- TCO modelling to define optimal cost structures
- Excellent people and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
- Highly organised
- Self-motivated and can-do attitude
