Registered Nurse - Mental Health

Join the dedicated Mental Health team at Epworth Camberwell as an experienced Registered Nurse. This part-time opportunity offers 22.8 hours per week and involves working a rotating roster, including night shifts.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provision of compassionate, recovery oriented mental health care to patients, including support for families and carers
• Patient assessment and management of all clinical issues relating to the patient’s condition and treatment plan
• Liaison with all referring specialists and clinicians involved in the patient’s care

You will be a strong, committed mental health nurse, who is passionate about facilitating the very best outcomes for your patients and their families from admission to discharge in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment. 

For you to be successful in this role you will bring the following:

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 12 months mental health nursing experience
• Contemporary knowledge of best practice in acute or mental health nursing
• Strong communication, you have a supportive and engaging style that enables you to easily build rapport with patients and their families. 
• Relevant recent experience in the provision of acute Mental Health care
• A thorough understanding of the principles of recovery-oriented care, mental state assessment, care planning and specialist care delivery.
