We are appointing a CTO of exceptional calibre to set the technical vision, architecture, and culture of the organisation. Initially fractional or contractor‑based, this role offers a path to full‑time leadership with equity participation.

This is a defining opportunity: you will shape the technical foundation of a platform with national scale and deep social impact.

  • Own the technical strategy and ensure alignment with business growth.
  • Modernise and scale the Ruby on Rails backend, addressing technical debt.
  • Guide the development of Flutter and React applications across multiple user groups.
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing engineering organisation.
  • Partner with leadership on fundraising, product strategy, and market expansion.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and scalability in a healthcare/education context.

Requirements

🎯 Candidate Profile

  • Proven success as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technical leader.
  • Expertise in scaling SaaS platforms; edtech or healthtech experience strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid claims billing or compliance‑driven systems is a plus.
  • Hands‑on technical depth in Ruby on Rails, Flutter, React, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic acumen.
  • Thrives in founder‑led, high‑expectation environments.
