Senior Cathodic Protection (CP) Technician (Saudi Arabia)

In your capacity as a Senior Cathodic Protection Technician, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and inspection of cathodic protection systems to ensure the integrity and safety of pipelines, tanks, and other critical infrastructures. This role is vital in preventing corrosion and enhancing asset longevity within the Oil & Gas sector in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and conduct the installation, testing, and maintenance of cathodic protection systems
• Perform detailed inspections and ensure that systems comply with industry standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to cathodic protection systems
• Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of existing cathodic protection systems
• Develop and recommend improvements or modifications to enhance performance
• Train and mentor junior technicians in cathodic protection processes and standards
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and reports on inspection activities
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align on project goals and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cathodic protection within the Oil & Gas industry
• Experience and understanding of cathodic protection design principles. Experience in installation and testing of CP system.
• Troubleshoot complex CP issues and recommend solutions to engineers.
• High proficiency with CP testing software, data logging and asset management tools
• Extensive knowledge of corrosion control methods and cathodic protection systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
• Strong leadership abilities and mentoring experience
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as necessary
