Eram Talent is looking for a talented and experienced Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is particularly focused on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the oil and gas sector. As a Materials & Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the selection and use of the appropriate materials while developing effective corrosion prevention strategies throughout the lifecycle of EPC projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and select materials for various applications in EPC projects.
- Develop and implement corrosion management plans and protocols.
- Conduct detailed corrosion assessments and material inspections.
- Specify and analyze coating systems and cathodic protection methods.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure material specifications meet project requirements.
- Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and project specifications.
- Participate in project risk assessments related to materials and corrosion.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering, preferably in EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and prevention methods.
- Experience with material selection criteria and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations governing materials and corrosion.
- NACE certification is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia for project site visits.
