About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of our people function.

This is a 6-month contract offering exposure to both operational and strategic HR initiatives. The role supports the Venture Studio projects at Ergonia Labs, partnering closely with the Head of HR, Finance, Legal & Operations to enable our teams to scale efficiently and compliantly.

Requirements

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full statutory compliance.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly and annual payroll reports.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reporting as required.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and manage all employee records and documentation.
  • Coordinate recruitment logistics, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
  • Support performance management cycles, including goal-setting, reviews, and feedback tracking.
  • Oversee benefits administration — enrolment, changes, and renewals.
  • Provide day-to-day HR operational support to employees and managers, ensuring smooth delivery of HR services.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure HR and payroll practices comply with local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Prepare statutory filings and support external audits or compliance reviews.
  • Protect and maintain the confidentiality of employee information and HR data.

Venture Studio & Incubator Support

  • Partner with the Head of HR to implement HR frameworks for new venture teams within the incubator.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment for new projects — from job design to onboarding.
  • Help establish and administer benefits and HR systems for newly launched teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, including payroll management.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Proven HR Generalist experience within a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Deel (or similar).
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with an interest in building scalable people operations.
