Position Overview:

Eurasia Group is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Geostrategy team, focusing on growth and development of client relationships. This position will support account management with the objective of building strong client relationships that can be sustained and scaled over time. The role involves a substantial amount of client management and a smaller focus on business development activities with commercial leads. This position will be based in our Sao Paulo, Brazil office.

 

Responsibilities:

In this position you will:

  • Coordinate client account activities, including:
    • Identifying potential geopolitical areas of interest to the client through a thorough understanding of client stakeholders and needs.
    • Drafting proposals, statement of works (SOWs), and other related deliverables.
    • Supporting preparation for colleagues before client-facing briefings.
    • Coordinating across the firm to organize client servicing requests.
    • Joining account leads and other colleagues at client meetings to take notes and action follow-up items.
    • Managing existing accounts by maintaining relationships, sending notes of interest, and joining relationship calls with clients.
    • Delivering what clients need by scheduling briefings for analysts and thinking through project opportunities during conversations—turning these into commercial opportunities and growing them.
    • Helping to identify new client relationships and outreach, identifying potential companies, and contributing to business growth.
  • Work with commercial leads to allocate 20% of your time to business development efforts, focusing on sectors such as industrial, healthcare, professional services, philanthropies, defense contracts, aerospace, automotive, and logistics.
  • Help prepare pitch documents, proposals, introduction materials of the firm, and discussion documents that combine content and commercial insights.
  • Re-engage with renewables and unresponsive clients, showcasing upsell potential and ensuring organized client relationship management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have experience in professional services or industry associations, either in a client delivery or business development capacity.
  • Be familiar with different corporate industries and understand the numerous ways in which geopolitics can affect businesses' strategy and operations across sectors.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple workstreams.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Authorization to work in Brazil.
