This job description file describes the mission, role, and responsibilities of the Technical Supervisor (E&E products, DIY products, and hard goods) in Eurofins CPA. The main purpose is to provide a clear understanding of the job scope for recruitment, performance management, and operational alignment.

A.         Responsibility

This document is strictly confidential, and each recipient of one copy is responsible for maintaining its confidentiality. The Human Resources Manager oversees updates and external distribution of its content (e.g., recruitment partners).

B.         Definition

The Technical Supervisor is part of the Technical & Quality Department and reports to the Technical Manager or relevant line manager.

The role is responsible for supervising the technical activities related to Electrical & Electronic (E&E) products, DIY products, and hard goods inspection and reporting activities, ensuring alignment with internal procedures and applicable international standards.

The objectives of the Technical Supervisor are:

·       To ensure technical competency of inspectors and report reviewers

·       To Improve consistency and accuracy of inspection and reporting

·       To support compliance with international standards and client requirements

·       To strengthen training and knowledge sharing across teams

C.         Mission

The mission of the Technical Supervisor is to ensure the technical competency, consistency, and quality of inspection and reporting activities across E&E products, DIY products, and hard goods, while supporting compliance with internal procedures and international standards.

D.         Mission scope

1. Technical Competency Management

The Technical Supervisor must:

  • Monitor and assess the technical competency of QCs and report reviewers
  • Identify technical gaps and define improvement actions
  • Ensure inspection and reporting activities are aligned with internal SOPs and standards
  • Maintain and update technical guidelines and inspection protocols
  • Drive the standardization of inspection practices across teams
  • Support on-site trials for new customers and products as needed.

2. Training & Development

The Technical Supervisor must:

  • Develop and maintain training materials related to E&E products, DIY products, and hard goods inspection.
  • Design and deliver training programs (on-site and remote)
  • Conduct regular technical training sessions and knowledge sharing
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve training content
  • Support onboarding interview, training and qualification of new inspectors

3. Technical Support & Quality Assurance

The Technical Supervisor must:

  • Provide technical support and guidance on testing, inspection, and compliance issues
  • Ensure consistency and quality of inspection results and reports
  • Respond to internal technical inquiries from operational teams
  • Support investigation and resolution of technical issues or discrepancies
  • Participate in internal audits or cross-check activities as required

4. Inspection Booking Validation

The Technical Supervisor must:

·       Ensure proper validation of hardline inspection bookings, including the defining of necessary on-site tests.

·       Ensure inspectors understand and correctly apply inspection procedures and on-site testing methods., by co-operate with booking team.
