Job Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our team.
Below you can find the main responsibilities of the position:
- Providing support and guidance to the Payroll Accountant.
- Handling all payroll related calculations.
- Keeping the monthly salary file with employee data up to date.
- Making sure administration, calculations, and payments of monthly absences are handled as per the Bulgarian Labor Code and company policy.
- Proper administration of salary related deductions, including income tax, pension funds, insurance, etc.
- Cooperation with payroll systems providers and support regarding existing problems, possible improvements, etc.
- Being the first point of contact for any payroll-related inquiries.
- Keeping up with the changes in the Bulgarian legislation.
- Preparation for audits – preparation of the information required by auditors, answering to auditors’ questions, etc., to ensure that statutory audits are finalized within stipulated deadlines.
