About the role
We are looking for a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Clancy Group. In this role, you will support the commercial success of our projects across utilities and civil engineering, ensuring that costs are controlled, risks are managed, and value is delivered for both our clients and our business.

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on budget, within contract terms, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, including NEC and JCT contracts.

  • Prepare and review cost estimates, valuations, and cost/value reconciliations.

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering, and payment approvals.

  • Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to support decision-making.

  • Identify risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, sustainable, and successful delivery.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (desirable).

  • Membership of RICS/ICES or working towards (preferred).

  • Proven experience as a QS in construction, utilities, or civil engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement, and cost forecasting.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • A detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative approach.
