Job Overview

The Employment Relations Partner is responsible for providing expert, hands-on employment relations support globally, ensuring the business manages employee matters consistently, fairly, and in compliance with local employment legislation. 

The role will act as the local subject matter expert for all employment law matters, advising the People Team and business leaders on employee relations matters, employment risk, and the appropriate approach to complex or sensitive cases. We require this person to already be an expert in Armenia employment law and be looking to expand their knowledge across multiple jurisdictions. 

A key requirement of the role is the ability to identify and clearly articulate the legal and employee-relations risks associated with proposed business decisions, particularly in relation to disciplinary action, performance management, grievances, restructuring, consultation and termination of employment. 

Alongside the Employment Relations remit, the role will act as the Office Administration representative in Armenia, supporting the effective operation of the Yerevan office and the employee experience locally. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Employment Relations & Case Management 

  • Own and manage all global employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution, including: 

  • Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) 

  • Disciplinary matters 

  • Gross misconduct investigations 

  • Grievances 

  • Appeals 

  • Employee consultations 

  • Restructuring and redundancy-related processes 

  • Terminations of employment 

  • Provide practical and commercially appropriate advice to People Partners and business leaders on complex employee relations matters. 

  • Assess proposed courses of action and clearly identify any employment law, procedural, financial or employee-relations risks to the business. 

  • Advise the business on appropriate approaches to ending employment, including legal requirements, process, documentation, potential exposure and recommended risk-mitigation measures. 

  • Ensure employee relations cases are handled consistently, appropriately documented and aligned with both local legislation and company policies. 

  • Partner with People Partners on the execution of complex or large-scale employee relations matters, including consultation or restructuring exercises where appropriate. 

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations case records and documentation. 

Employment Law & Compliance 

  • Act as the People Team's subject matter expert on all global employment legislation. 

  • Maintain a strong and current understanding of the labour laws, employment regulations and employment-related compliance requirements for the jurisdictions we operate in. 

  • Proactively monitor legislative developments and identify changes that may impact the business and ensure these are communicated accordingly. 

  • Translate legislative changes into practical recommendations and coordinate necessary changes to policies, processes, documentation and employment practices. 

  • Support the review and maintenance of global People policies 

  • Provide guidance on local employment documentation, processes and statutory requirements for all jurisdictions we operate in. 

Data Protection / DSAR 

  • Develop a strong understanding of local requirements relating to employee data protection and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs). 

  • Act as the People Team lead for employee-related DSARs where this legislation is applicable. 

  • Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure requests are managed appropriately and within required timelines. 

  • Ensure People documentation and employee information are handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. 

Employee Experience & People Partnering 

  • Provide a welcome message and local People touchpoint for new joiners on their first day. 

  • Conduct structured two-month check-ins with new employees to understand their recruitment and onboarding experience and gathering any feedback. Following up with People Partners where necessary.. 

  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees. 

  • Analyse two-month check-in and exit interview data to identify recurring themes, risks and opportunities for improvement. 

  • Recommend actions and solutions based on employee feedback and emerging trends. 

  • Support eNPS analysis by combining survey results with employee relations, onboarding, exit and other available People data to provide a broader narrative around employee sentiment and experience. 

Armenia Office Administration & Workplace Operations 

  • Act as the Office Administration representative for the Armenia office, ensuring the workplace operates effectively and provides a positive employee experience. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the landlord and relevant office service providers. 

  • Act as the local point of contact for office administration communications. 

  • Ensure office facilities are maintained to a high standard and remain safe, functional and fully operational. 

  • Manage relationships with office vendors, contractors and service providers. 

  • Coordinate courier and postal services, including incoming and outgoing deliveries. 

  • Maintain appropriate office supplies and stock levels where required. 

  • Manage office-related purchase orders, invoices, expenses and supporting documentation. 

  • Maintain accurate office records, contracts, documentation and service agreements. 

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an office administration perspective, including coordination of IT equipment and laptop setup where required. 

  • Coordinate local employee events, team gatherings and office celebrations, including venues, suppliers, logistics and on-the-ground execution. 

  • Ensure the workplace complies with applicable Armenian occupational health and safety requirements and coordinate any necessary actions arising from regulatory changes.
