The Role:
We’re looking for a Manager/Senior Manager, Contract Management to join our Poland-based team. This role combines deep legal expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing and procurement contracting with operational leadership, AI-enabled transformation, and client-facing strategic partnership.
The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to client Legal, Procurement, R&D, and Tech Ops stakeholders, delivering complex contracting support while driving process improvements, data-led decision-making, and legal capacity optimization. This role requires strong subject-matter expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead structural improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and increase value delivery.
The successful candidate will operate autonomously, lead cross-functional initiatives, and contribute to continuous transformation aligned with Factor’s AI-integrated contracting model.

The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to client Legal, Procurement, R&D, and Tech Ops stakeholders, delivering complex contracting support while driving process improvements, data-led decision-making, and legal capacity optimization. Key Responsibilities


  • Client Delivery & Legal Leadership
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex pharmaceutical manufacturing and manufacturing-related agreements, including supply agreements, logistics services agreements, development and technology transfer agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, CDAs, MSAs, and SOWs.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for high-risk or complex contractual matters.
  • Provide structured contract analysis and risk assessments, including support in dispute-related matters where required.
  • Ensure alignment with client policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.

  • Operational & Process Transformation
  • Lead initiatives to refine legal review triggers and reduce unnecessary legal involvement in low-risk agreements, enabling efficient allocation of legal resources.
  • Analyse contracting data (including AI-supported clause analytics) to identify negotiation patterns, optimize templates, and reduce escalation cycles.
  • Drive standardization of clauses and fallback positions to improve consistency and negotiation efficiency.
  • Enhance and maintain contract reporting dashboards, including volume tracking, complexity indicators, ageing analysis, and region-level performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify structural improvements to reduce time-to-contract and improve overall contract lifecycle management.

  • AI & Innovation Enablement
  • Champion adoption of AI-enabled contracting tools, including clause analytics and negotiated outcomes analysis.
  • Partner with internal technology, CRU, and R&D teams to develop AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable client value.
  • Translate AI insights into practical guidance, improved templates, and scalable contracting strategies.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across stakeholders.

  • Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Legal, Procurement, R&D, Tech Ops, QA, Insurance, and Privacy stakeholders.
  • Position Factor as a trusted advisor and central contracting partner.
  • Lead proactive communication during resourcing changes, process transitions, and structural improvements to ensure delivery continuity.
  • Support business reviews and contribute data-backed insights to client leadership discussions.

  • Resourcing & Team Leadership
  • Support resourcing strategy, onboarding, training, and transition of work across regions where required.
  • Coach and develop junior legal professionals; provide subject-matter guidance on pharmaceutical manufacturing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain guidance materials, knowledge articles, and internal trackers to strengthen team expertise and reduce repetitive legal queries.
  • Contribute to onsite training and best-practice sessions for internal and client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Legally eligible to work in Poland.
  • Qualification as a lawyer (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8+ years of legal experience, ideally in pharmaceutical manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain agreements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing agreements (DS/DP development, tech transfer, supply, device development, logistics).
  • Strong understanding of international supply chain contracting, IP considerations in pharma manufacturing, and risk allocation frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating directly with Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging data and AI tools to improve contracting outcomes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of financial and performance metrics.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Icertis).

As a member of an ISO Compliant center, the candidate will be required to follow the policies and procedures on Information Security Management System in place at the Center of Excellence and globally at Factor.
