Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor

You’ll be responsible for supporting and maintaining food safety and quality programs that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and company standards. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to promote a strong food safety culture, drive continuous improvement, and lead the daily activities of the FSQA team. • Assist with leading, coaching, and developing the FSQA team, including: workforce planning, training, performance management, and employee development.
• Support the communication and execution of departmental goals and key business initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, sanitation, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with food safety and quality programs.
• Monitor food safety and quality performance, analyze trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and validate food safety and quality documentation to support operational compliance and audit readiness.
• Identify documentation gaps and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support and maintain third-party certification programs and food safety management systems.
• Lead internal and external audit activities, including: preparation, execution, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate facility response activities related to food safety incidents, product recalls, and withdrawals.
• Track, analyze, and report food safety and quality metrics to support business performance and compliance objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support operational and food safety initiatives.
• Contribute to overall operational success by taking on additional responsibilities as required.
